Abram St. Townhouses II
--with Ed Nelson, AIA

A continued Arlington development for the same site, with a modified site plan and new facades. In this proposal, the expectation of the City was that the exterior facades would appear more retro rather than contemporary or modern in any way. Our buildings used various combinations of brick, cast stone, and more traditional window to achieve this expectation. Entry terraces were added suggesting an even stronger townhouse appearance. This second proposal was rejected with the City's desire to make the project appear even more 19th century.
